Your first circuit

Put a battery, a switch and a bulb on the bench, wire them into a loop with your own hands, and watch charge flow. Then break the loop and see why every gap matters.

      Each task is worth 10 points. A hint costs 2, Show me costs 3, and a step you let the lab do scores 0. Your score is kept only on this page: refreshing it starts the lab again.
      What's happening

      Start by dragging the battery, the switch and the bulb onto the bench.

      Formula
      I = Q / t
      current = charge ÷ time · 1 A = 1 C/s
      Watch out · Short circuitA wire straight from one battery terminal to the other skips the bulb. With almost no resistance in the way, a large current flows and the battery heats up. Never do this with real cells.
      NCERT Science Class 10 · Ch. 11 Electricity

      Model: two 1.5 V cells in series (3 V) with 0.6 Ω internal resistance in total; a torch bulb rated 2.5 V, 0.3 A, treated as a fixed 8.3 Ω (a real filament's resistance rises as it heats up); wires and a closed switch have no resistance. Keys: R rotate, Delete remove, S switch, arrows move the selected part (or turn the view), +/− zoom, 1 2 3 views, Ctrl/⌘+Z undo, Esc cancel. Pinch or Ctrl/⌥-scroll to zoom, two fingers or right-drag to move the view.
